On day two, the administration responded to the crises by sending in its new federal Marshall's. They had been instructed to make an example of these rebels. No quarter was to be given.

The Marshall's amassed around the Capitol grounds loaded for bear. The commander of the National Guard force was quickly relieved of command. He was instructed to fall back and keep the citizens from filming or taking pictures of what was about to take place.

The Marshall's quickly assaulted just as the swat teams had done, they meet with the same fate. The commanding Marshall balked at the failure, and not learning his lesson, attempted the same tactic a third time. More than a hundred bodies now lay strewn across the grounds. Walker’s rangers had lost two men to snipers.
